La Divina Comida brings chef Marco Antonio Ganoza’s Peruvian cooking to Avenida Escazú, near San José. Its fusion approach combines Peruvian preparations with Costa Rican ingredients, creating room for both regional familiarity and influences from further afield. Seafood gives a clear example of the kitchen’s direction. A preparation of the day’s catch, octopus and prawns uses warm leche de tigre with ponzu, bringing the citrus-led Peruvian marinade together with a Japanese seasoning. The restaurant’s dishes also lend themselves to sharing, allowing a table to explore several preparations across a meal.
