Le Vasa Resort’s restaurant is Cocolini’s by the Sea, an open-air oceanfront venue on Upolu’s western coast. Exposed beams and hand-carved poumuli logs give the dining room a Samoan architectural identity, with the carvings depicting aspects of local life and culture. The kitchen combines South Pacific and Mediterranean influences, focusing on seafood and Samoan regional produce. Ocean views and sea breezes are part of the meal, especially as sunset approaches. The Ugly Mermaid Bar stands alongside the restaurant, serving cocktails, wine and lighter alfresco food near the pool. Its name comes from a carved mermaid on the central post, a playful detail within a setting otherwise defined by timber craftsmanship and the shore.
