Little Italy Hotel occupies the quieter residential side of Nuku’alofa’s waterfront, on Vuna Road in Kolomotu’a. Its 22 en-suite bedrooms range from standard rooms to larger categories, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and facilities for making tea and coffee. Ocean-view rooms have private balconies overlooking the rocky foreshore. The Royal Palace and Talamahu Market are within walking distance. The hotel grew around Little Italy’s restaurant, which began as a pizzeria in a traditional Tongan fale in 1996. Italian cooking remains part of the property, with pizza, pasta and seafood among the dining choices.
