Maguga Lodge

Maguga Lodge overlooks Maguga Dam, with accommodation ranging from thatched rondavels to two-bedroom self-catering Fishermen’s Cottages. The rondavels contain air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, while five tent-only lakeside campsites offer a simpler way to stay close to the water. Lapa Restaurant has a deck facing the dam, and an outdoor pool provides another place to relax. Boat cruises, freshwater bass fishing and guided hikes to Esicancweni bring the landscape into the stay; visits to Nsangwini’s San rock art and local craft communities add cultural excursions. Conference and wedding facilities extend the lodge’s role beyond accommodation.
