Matterhorn FOCUS
Zermatt village, Schluhmattstrasse, Switzerland
Matterhorn FOCUS is a design-led hotel close to the Matterhorn Express, where glass, exposed wood and unusual room shapes replace conventional chalet decoration. Heinz Julen’s furnishings give the interiors an individual character, and high ceilings and large windows make the rooms feel connected to their surroundings. The accommodation varies considerably, from skylight rooms to generous suites. It suits travellers who value architecture and mountain access, and who enjoy choosing a room for its particular layout.
