Max Cekot Kitchen
Latvia

A former timber-processing building in an industrial part of Riga houses Max Cekot Kitchen. The chef and his team have preserved its brick character and restored spiral staircase, adding living pines, work by local craftspeople and a dining experience that moves between floors. Opening courses introduce the evening downstairs before the main meal continues above, with an open kitchen bringing the preparation into view. The seasonal tasting menu runs to 15 courses and changes regularly, drawing on local ingredients and herbs, flowers and shoots grown in the restaurant’s own garden. Wine pairings and handmade soft drinks provide alternative accompaniments to a meal shaped by both the kitchen and its immediate surroundings.
