Merrick Inn
Kentucky

Merrick Inn is a Lexington restaurant in a preserved manor house dating from before the American Civil War. Its menu centres on Kentucky and Southern cooking, with fried green tomatoes served with country-ham salad and peach glaze, and a Hot Brown combining turkey, country ham, Mornay sauce, tomato and bacon. Fried chicken and braised short ribs sit alongside Prime steaks and seafood such as pistachio-crusted halibut. Bourbon appears throughout, from pecan-crusted pork tenderloin with Maker’s Mark apple chutney to whipped sweet potatoes finished with Kentucky bourbon and marshmallow. Weekend brunch and private dining provide additional ways to use this longstanding restaurant on Merrick Drive.
