Moody Tongue
Illinois

Moody Tongue combines a culinary brewery with two dining settings on South Wabash Avenue in Chicago’s South Loop. In the 28-seat Dining Room, executive chef James Bingham serves a seasonal tasting menu paired with the brewery’s own beers. Temperature, serving size and different beer expressions form part of the pairing approach. Courses have included scallop with papaya and red miso, crab ravioli with brown butter, and wagyu with cornbread and huitlacoche. The separate Bar offers à-la-carte dishes, from oysters and pretzel bread with beer cheese to pork schnitzel and whole fish. Beers range from toasted rice lager to fruit-led IPAs, saisons and porters, using flavour descriptions that connect brewing with cooking.
