Mucumbli

Mucumbli combines an ecolodge with a working agricultural project at Ponta Figo near Neves. Terraces look over the Atlantic, and a black basalt-sand beach lies a short walk below. Accommodation includes sea-view chalets and rooms with private entrances, plus a larger two-storey house built from local stone and island wood. The property takes its name from the Mucumbli tree, several of which grow on the grounds. Guests can see endemic plants, visit the animals and take part in agricultural work. Guided walks explore the Rio Contador valley and cocoa-growing communities, including a route developed with the CECAB cooperative. Dining brings together flavours of the archipelago and Italian dishes.
