Mumbo Island Camp

Mumbo Island Camp occupies a protected cove in Lake Malawi National Park, ten kilometres offshore from Cape Maclear. Five double or twin chalets stand on rocks above the water, while a four-bed Forest Chalet sits behind the beach. All have en suite bathrooms and mosquito nets. The camp is off-grid, with portable solar lamps in the chalets and a central charging station. Kayaks and snorkelling equipment are available from the watersports deck, and woodland trails lead to smaller beaches and coves. Communal spaces include a dining room, bar and a lounge beside a baobab tree. Boat transfers connect the island with Kayak Africa's mainland reception.
