Musegg Wall and Towers

The Musegg Wall rises above Lucerne’s old town, its nine towers marking the line of the former defences. In the visitor season, four towers and sections of the wall open to the public, providing a different perspective on the city, river and lake. The Zyt Tower adds a memorable detail: its clock strikes ahead of the city’s other clocks. Expect steps and uneven historic spaces, and treat the walk as a short climb rather than a flat promenade.
