The Museo Picasso Málaga deserves a central place in an art-focused visit, rather than a brief stop made only because the artist was born here. Its home in the Palacio de Buenavista makes the building part of the experience, while the collection and changing exhibitions offer different routes through Picasso’s work. We would choose the exhibition programme before fixing the day’s other plans, and leave space afterwards to walk the surrounding old-town streets.
