Odd Duck builds meals around globally influenced small plates at its South Second Street address in Milwaukee. Local ingredients give the changing menu a regional foundation, while the sharing format encourages several dishes across the table. Ross Bachhuber and Melissa Buchholz established the restaurant in 2012. The kitchen explicitly makes room for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans within the same menu, allowing diners with different preferences to eat together. All seating areas serve the same food. Choosing where to sit therefore changes the setting of the meal, while the menu remains a shared expression of the restaurant's interest in local produce and international ideas.
