Palacio de Bellas Artes rewards a visit on several levels: the white-marble exterior, the Art Deco interior and the murals are each compelling in their own right. Works by major Mexican muralists make the building a useful next step after exploring the historic centre. A performance adds another dimension, but museum admission and theatre tickets are separate decisions.
