Po Nagar Cham Towers
Cu Lao Hill, north Nha Trang, Vietnam
Above the Cai River, Po Nagar preserves the brick towers and carved details of an important Cham sanctuary. The complex developed between the eighth and thirteenth centuries and remains a place of worship, with Cham and Vietnamese traditions meeting around its mother goddess. Look closely at the stone reliefs and the surviving columns below the towers. Dress respectfully and allow time for the river views as well as the buildings.
