Primland occupies a 12,000-acre estate in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. The main Lodge sits beside golf fairways, while cabins and tree houses offer more secluded accommodation above the Dan River Gorge. The Lodge's Great Hall has twin fireplaces, and a two-storey wine room gives the interior a substantial gathering place. Recent changes include refreshed Lodge rooms and Fairway Cottages, additional mountain-top tree-house suites and the six-bedroom Hawk Eye residence. The Highland Course, spa and outdoor sporting experiences extend the stay across the estate. Leatherflower is the newer signature restaurant, while the Schlumberger Wine Cellar provides a separate setting for wine-paired dinners. The scale of the grounds allows accommodation and activities to feel distinct from one another.
