Public at the Brickyard occupies a restored warehouse in Wichita's Old Town, beside the Brickyard outdoor music venue. Opened in 2012, it builds its cooking around fresh regional ingredients and relationships with local producers. Wichita-style pizzas are part of the restaurant's own take on local food. The menu's supplier list includes Creekstone Farms, Firefly Farms, Kangrow Hydro Farm, Yoder Meats and other Kansas growers and makers. Changing dinner specials provide another outlet for their ingredients. The neighbouring music venue gives the address a second purpose, allowing a meal at Public to be combined with an evening at the Brickyard.
