Rendezvous Beach and trail
West Montserrat, reached from Little Bay by hike, kayak or boat

Rendezvous is Montserrat’s only white-sand beach, which immediately sets it apart on an island more strongly associated with volcanic black-sand shores and mountain scenery. The approach is part of the appeal. Whether you come in by trail, kayak or boat, the beach feels secluded in a way that matches Montserrat’s lower-key character far better than a resort-style strand would. This is one of the island’s best half-day outings for travellers who want beach time without losing the sense of effort and discovery that defines much of Montserrat. It also provides a welcome contrast to viewpoints, museums and volcano interpretation. Facilities are limited and access takes planning, especially in heat or mixed conditions, but that slight difficulty is exactly what helps preserve its character. For many visitors, Rendezvous becomes the island’s most memorable purely recreational escape.
