Sacromonte Restaurant

Sacromonte's restaurant takes its place above the vineyards of the Sierra de Carapé, with views across the hills from around 320 metres above sea level. The setting gives a meal the scale of the surrounding countryside. Lunch and dinner form part of the estate experience, whether visitors are staying in the mirrored shelters or coming to explore the vineyard. The relationship between table and landscape is the principal reason to make the journey. Wine naturally belongs to the visit. Sacromonte produces a range of bottles, including Carapé, a co-fermentation of six red grape varieties, and offers tastings that introduce the estate's approach. A meal here works well as the centre of a leisurely excursion into Maldonado's interior. Allow time for the views and, if wine is part of the plan, arrange a tasting alongside the restaurant reservation to give the visit a fuller sense of the estate.
