Sail on a paraw at sunset
Departure beach varies with season, Philippines

A paraw is the traditional outrigger sailing boat seen off Boracay’s beaches, its narrow hull balanced by outriggers on either side. A late-afternoon trip offers a different view of the shoreline as the light changes, with the sail and sea providing most of the entertainment. Book through an established local operator such as Southwest Tours, and confirm the departure beach on the day. Wind, weather and sea conditions can change the route or cancel sailing.
