Sanbis Resort offers an island base in the Gizo lagoon, with bungalows overlooking the water and more private accommodation available at The Lodge. The setting is particularly suited to travellers who want boating, diving or fishing to shape their time in the Western Province. The Lodge occupies the far end of the island. It combines a split-level main building with two separate air-conditioned bungalows, a sun deck, barbecue facilities and a spa bath. Its private jetty and included boat create a more independent way to explore the surrounding lagoon. Dining is divided between a public over-water bar and a restaurant reserved for residents. Wood-fired pizza at the bar adds an informal option, while the resort kitchen serves seafood and Western-style dishes with island influences. Sanbis offers a useful choice between a conventional bungalow stay and a small private complex for two couples or a family travelling together.
