Santani Dining

Dining at Santani Wellness Kandy follows the Ayurvedic concept of Rasa Haya, or six tastes. The kitchen uses that framework to shape personalised meals, with fresh ingredients and individual preferences influencing what arrives at the table. Rather than give every guest the same printed menu, chefs work with the wellness team and in-house Ayurvedic doctor on meal plans appropriate to each programme. The emphasis is on choice and pleasure within the retreat’s approach to food. The 40-seat restaurant occupies the main pavilion, where timber and floor-to-ceiling glass frame the Dumbara mountains. Natural ventilation connects the dining room to central Sri Lanka’s cooler climate. Meals therefore belong to the wider stay, with the landscape and personalised cooking contributing to Santani’s retreat experience.
