Sense on the Edge
Oman

Sense on the Edge takes dining above the shoreline at Six Senses Zighy Bay. Perched 293 metres over the bay, the restaurant looks across the Musandam Peninsula and the Gulf of Oman, making the ascent part of the anticipation of the meal. Its Journey of the Senses menu develops across twelve courses. Farm produce, meat and seafood shape the sequence, with seasonal ingredients linking the kitchen’s work to the surrounding region and its suppliers. The Starlight and Moonlight tables offer a more private variation. Set on terraces above the main restaurant, they place a small gathering beneath the open sky while retaining the same tasting-menu focus. A sunrise breakfast provides another way to experience the location, exchanging the evening’s progression of courses for the first light over the water. The restaurant rewards planning around the setting, with the view and the changing light carrying as much weight as the choice of meal.
