Sherep brings the kitchen into view at its restaurant on Amiryan Street in central Yerevan. A large open cooking area allows diners to watch the chefs at work and speak with them, making preparation part of the meal. The menu draws on several countries rather than following a single national cuisine. Guest chefs take part in collaborative four-hand menus and Sherepamart, a culinary contest whose name refers to a fight with ladles. Signed ladles exchanged between chefs have become a restaurant tradition, connecting the room’s identity to those visiting collaborations.
