Singita Lebombo Lodge
South Africa

Singita Lebombo Lodge brings a strikingly contemporary architectural style to the Kruger National Park. Glass-walled suites and elevated timber decks sit above the N’wanetsi River, making the landscape visible through much of the accommodation. The lodge occupies Singita’s private concession within the park. Its open-plan interiors feel closely connected with the surrounding terrain, offering a different interpretation of safari accommodation from a traditional thatched lodge. Private viewing decks extend the rooms outdoors, and guests can sleep outside beneath mosquito netting. This allows the night sky and sounds of the bush to become part of the stay as well as the daytime wildlife experience. Lebombo is especially appealing to travellers interested in architecture and landscape together. The design’s lightness and extensive use of glass make the location central, with the river and surrounding bush shaping how time is spent between safari activities.
