At Six Senses Douro Valley, a nineteenth-century manor overlooks the Douro and its vineyard terraces. The hotel near Lamego combines the proportions of a country house with contemporary Portuguese design, accommodation ranging from rooms and suites to villas. The Vineyard Deluxe rooms show how location changes the experience: fourth-floor rooms have terraces, while those on the fifth floor look towards the vines.
