Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea

Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea brings Saudi Arabia's inland desert into the foreground. Set along the historic incense route with the Hijaz Mountains behind it, the resort draws architectural inspiration from Nabataean heritage rather than relying on a coastal setting. Around the central Oasis complex are 36 rooms and suites, with 40 pool villas distributed across the landscape. Interiors echo the colours and textures of dunes, while fabrics refer to traditional Bedouin dress. Private outdoor space and desert views are central to the accommodation. Food gives the stay another regional thread. Al Sarab explores cooking from Saudi Arabia and neighbouring culinary traditions, while Merkaz offers plant-based Arabic tapas. A cooking school becomes a private chef's table at night. The two-storey spa and organised desert and village experiences provide different ways to spend the days.
