SOMOZA occupies a restored 150-year-old farmhouse in Hanazono’s woods, bringing food, art and architecture together under heavy timber beams. Seasonal courses use Hokkaido ingredients and vegetables and herbs from the kitchen garden. Dinner begins with a gallery tour, adding context to the objects and regional history displayed in the building. The rural setting rewards an unhurried evening. Arrange transport in advance and book the complete experience, as standalone gallery visits are not currently offered.
