Songtsam Lodge Laigu
Tibet

Songtsam Lodge Laigu faces glaciers in a landscape of snow mountains and lakes. Its building is embedded beneath a high cliff, using prefabricated modular construction to reduce its visual presence and preserve the character of the neighbouring Tibetan village. Just 20 rooms keep the accommodation compact: 16 deluxe rooms and four superior suites. The village sits at 4,200 metres near the source of the Purlung Tsangpo River, making the setting an essential part of the stay. Meals draw on the wider Yunnan–Tibet route, including yak, Tibetan pork and regional vegetables. A lobby bar, book lounge and terrace provide places to pause between excursions into the surrounding landscape.
