Spoon and Stable
Minnesota

Spoon and Stable occupies a converted 1906 horse stable on North First Street in Minneapolis. Chef Gavin Kaysen opened it in 2014 as his first restaurant, bringing French technique to new American cooking shaped by the seasons and culinary traditions of the upper Midwest. The dining offering extends from dinner to brunch, with a lounge serving cocktails, appetisers and full meals from the dinner menu. Private dining spaces accommodate larger groups, giving the building another role for celebrations and hosted meals. Its agricultural past and regionally grounded kitchen remain closely connected in the restaurant's identity.
