Tarnim Magic Garden

Samui’s central hills, Thailand

Tarnim Magic Garden

Tarnim Magic Garden gathers stone figures, Buddhist imagery and family sculptures around rocks, trees and small waterfalls in Samui’s hills. Created by durian farmer Nim Thongsuk, it has the character of a personal project rather than a formal museum. The intimate scale is part of its appeal, although the much-used “secret” nickname should not suggest solitude. Arrange the uphill journey with a local driver and give yourself time to notice how the figures sit within the landscape.
