teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM

teamLab Borderless is one of Tokyo’s most distinctive contemporary attractions: an immersive digital art museum where artworks move across rooms and there is deliberately no fixed route. The official teamLab page describes it as a world without boundaries, and the museum reopened in Azabudai Hills in 2024. That relocation put it firmly in central Tokyo, and the official access information places it in Minato-ku, near Kamiyacho and Roppongi-Itchome. The experience works well for visitors who want something more interactive than a traditional gallery, and it is particularly strong for repeat visitors who have already done Tokyo’s classic towers and shrine stops. It ranks third because it offers a uniquely modern Tokyo experience with high visitor appeal, but its timed ticketing and irregular closures make it slightly less flexible than the top two entries. Re-entry is not permitted, photography rules apply, and certain artworks may be unavailable during crowding or maintenance. Even so, it is a standout example of Tokyo’s art-and-technology scene and a destination in its own right.
