Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village
Lesotho

At the foot of Thaba Bosiu Fortress, Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village introduces the heritage of the Basotho nation and its founder, King Moshoeshoe I. Around 24 kilometres from Maseru, the site combines a museum with reconstructed homesteads that show how traditional communities were organised. Guided village and museum tours explore the nation's formation, while the amphitheatre provides a setting for performances and events. Visitors can extend the experience with a stay in rondavels and chalets, offered in single- and double-bed configurations. Shoeshoe Restaurant adds another expression of local culture through Basotho dishes alongside a broader dining menu.
