The Bluff

Eastern Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands

The Bluff is Cayman Brac’s defining landform and the clearest exact-name attraction to represent the island on a destination-wide list. Rising at the eastern end of Cayman Brac, this limestone ridge gives the island its identity, its highest viewpoints and much of its more rugged character. It is the place that explains why the Sister Islands feel so different from Grand Cayman’s flatter, resort-led image. Visitors come for outlooks, caves and a stronger sense of raw landscape than elsewhere in the country. It suits travellers who prefer scenic drives, short explorations and self-directed stops over formal attraction formats. Conditions and access vary by route and weather, and the experience is best approached as a landscape attraction rather than a single ticketed site. Even so, it is the most defensible named choice for Cayman Brac because it is both geographically specific and central to how the island is understood by tourism and local specialist sources.
