The Duchy brings a European brasserie approach to Breidenbacher Hof on Düsseldorf's Königsallee. Upholstered banquettes, mirrors and eclectic artworks frame a dining room inspired by Parisian restaurants, while the kitchen combines European influences with local produce. Dishes include beef brisket, caviar carbonara, amberjack carpaccio and lobster soup with lemongrass. At the marble-topped Raw Bar, chef Nao Yamaoka prepares seafood including Faroe Islands salmon sashimi and oysters. Wine, Champagne and cocktails accompany either a short visit to the bar or a meal of several courses. The restaurant's name recalls the Grand Duchy of Berg, whose capital was Düsseldorf.
