The Gazebo - GoldenEye
Jamaica
The Gazebo looks out across Low Cay Beach and the lagoon at GoldenEye in Oracabessa. Built as an elevated, open-sided dining space, it has the feel of a tree house, with the surrounding landscape shaping the experience as much as the table setting. Dinner draws on Jamaican dishes, local spices and ingredients from land and sea. GoldenEye's wider approach to food includes seasonal produce from Pantrepant Farm, connecting the resort's cooking with the island beyond its beaches. An international wine list accompanies the menu. This is an especially atmospheric place to begin an evening with a cocktail as the light changes over the water. The combination of height, open air and views in two directions gives the restaurant a distinctive position within the estate. The Gazebo works well for couples or small groups who want a leisurely resort dinner with a clear sense of place. Its attraction is the meeting of Jamaican flavours and GoldenEye's beach-and-lagoon setting, experienced from a sheltered perch above it all.
