The Immigrant Restaurant

Wisconsin

The Immigrant Restaurant

The Immigrant Restaurant occupies the lower level of The American Club in Kohler, with six dining rooms recalling the European communities that helped shape early Wisconsin. French, Dutch, German, Norman, Danish and English influences give the spaces their individual character. Dinner follows a structured tasting format. The published menu offers a five-course selection and a seven-course curated experience, with optional wine and beverage pairings. Regional producers appear throughout the sourcing, from Wisconsin cheese makers to farms and apiaries. Recent preparations include scallop crudo with esquites, trout with preserved ramps and spruce oil, and mushroom dishes with sesame praline. The adjoining Winery Bar offers a limited à la carte alternative. The main dining experience takes several hours, allowing time for the sequence of courses and pairings.
