The Lively in downtown Boise follows chef Edward Higgins’ experience across Japan, France and Massachusetts, using the region’s produce as its starting point. Dinner menus change with the kitchen’s ingredients, while cocktails, wine and beer accompany the cooking. A private Chef’s Table offers a five-course tasting menu designed for the group. Special sushi dinners in the speakeasy and a monthly high tea introduce other formats beyond the main dining room. These events give the restaurant several ways to express the chef’s varied culinary background.
