The Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection
Romania

The Marmorosch gives a former Bucharest bank a new role as a city-centre hotel. Close to the Old Town, the building's financial history remains visible in public spaces that draw on Art Deco and the grandeur of its earlier life. Rooms and suites provide contemporary accommodation within that historic shell. The contrast between private rooms and the more theatrical communal areas is a central part of the stay, giving architecture-minded visitors a reason to spend time inside as well as around the city. Blank serves dinner, while the lobby lounge and coffee corner create less formal places to pause. The Vault Bar occupies the bank's actual former vault, turning one of the building's most distinctive surviving spaces into a cocktail destination. An indoor pool, fitness centre and spa treatment rooms add a practical layer to the heritage setting. The Marmorosch suits a visit centred on Old Town streets, restaurants and culture, with the building itself offering another chapter in Bucharest's urban history.
