The Victoria Falls Hotel

The Victoria Falls Hotel began in 1904 as accommodation connected to the Cape-to-Cairo railway, and its Edwardian architecture remains central to its identity. Arched loggias, broad verandas and lily ponds frame views towards the gorge and Victoria Falls Bridge. The hotel has 149 rooms and suites, with accommodation that preserves its period character while adding contemporary comforts. Larger suites offer separate living spaces, and selected rooms take in the bridge and Batoka Gorge. Dining ranges from the formal Livingstone Room to the outdoor-style Jungle Junction and Stanley’s Terrace. An Edwardian swimming pool, spa and art galleries add further interests within the property, while the historic setting links a stay with the railway and exploration stories surrounding the falls.
