The Wonder Bar Steakhouse
West Virginia

The Wonder Bar Steakhouse has been part of Clarksburg’s dining scene since John and Betty Folio opened it in 1946. Originally a small dance hall, it has developed into a traditional steakhouse with expanded dining rooms and a substantial wine selection. Hand-cut steaks and chops are grilled with the restaurant’s own seasoning blend. Seafood forms another part of the menu, including crab cakes made daily and South African rock-lobster tails. Renovations have added a stone façade, cedar-beam entrance and larger kitchen, while private rooms offer alternatives to the main dining space. An outdoor patio and fire-pit area extend the setting, giving the long-established restaurant several different places for a meal or gathering.
