Tuatafa black beach

Northern Futuna, Wallis and Futuna, French overseas collectivity

Tuatafa is Futuna’s most visually striking beach stop, known for its black volcanic sand and the clear natural swimming pool nearby. The tourism office describes it as one of the island’s most spectacular beaches and also notes the sunsets there. It gives visitors a very different coastal character from the usual tropical white-sand image, with dramatic colour contrast and an easy, photogenic shoreline setting.
