Vila Joya Restaurant

Vila Joya's restaurant looks across gardens to the Atlantic from its Algarve setting. Chef Dieter Koschina has led the kitchen since arriving from Austria in 1991, drawing on Portugal's produce and the seafood available along its coast. The cooking favours fresh, light dishes and precise combinations of flavour. With executive chef Stefan Langmann, Koschina creates a changing Signature menu for lunch, while a Favourites menu presents established ideas at lunch and dinner. Recent combinations have paired lobster with grapefruit and salted lemon, grouper with leeks and chanterelles, and duck with beetroot and raspberry. The intimate restaurant takes tables of up to six. Hotel residents have priority for dinner, making advance planning particularly useful for visitors seeking an evening meal on the terrace above the sea.
