Troldhaugen was the home of Edvard and Nina Grieg, and its lakeside grounds remain a moving place to connect the composer with the landscape around Bergen. The site includes his composing hut, the couple’s graves and a concert hall, with programmes and visitor access changing through the year. The villa itself is currently closed for rehabilitation, so plan around the grounds, audio guide and any scheduled concert rather than expecting a tour of the house interior.
