Waku Ghin

Waku Ghin presents Tetsuya Wakuda’s Japanese cooking in a quietly detailed space at Marina Bay Sands. Designed by Yohei Akao, the restaurant offers different ways to approach the kitchen, from an intimate tasting experience to a more flexible meal in the main dining room. The Chef’s Table accommodates just ten guests. Its degustation combines signature dishes and seasonal creations, with premium seafood and meats prepared in view of the diners. For guests interested in the craft behind a meal, that proximity is a central part of the appeal. The bar and main dining room provide an à la carte alternative, accompanied by regional Japanese sakes and cocktails. This gives the restaurant scope for an evening that does not need to follow the full Chef’s Table format. Ingredients change with the seasons and availability, so the experience is best approached with an appetite for the kitchen’s choices. Waku Ghin rewards diners who want time, attention and a close focus on the food.
