Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund combines the restored former Shanghai Club with a contemporary hotel overlooking the Huangpu River. The heritage building dates to 1911, and its restoration drew on historic photographs. The Long Bar is a defining feature: a 34-metre mahogany counter in a room restored in the style of the original club. Its current cocktails draw on the Bund's history.
