Walk around Boudhanath Stupa

Boudhanath’s immense white dome and painted eyes form one of Kathmandu’s most recognisable landmarks. The stupa is a centre of Himalayan Buddhism, and the surrounding neighbourhood gives a visit its daily rhythm. Take time to walk around the monument, notice the prayer wheels and watch respectfully as worshippers pass. Leave room for a pause nearby rather than treating it as a quick photograph between other stops on a crowded sightseeing schedule.
