Walk the Mount Rooper Circuit

The Mount Rooper Circuit climbs through coastal forest to a lookout over the Whitsunday Passage, then descends with further glimpses of the islands. Allow around three hours for the 5.3-kilometre route and be prepared for steep sections rather than an easy promenade. The trail is shared with mountain bikes. Check Queensland Parks alerts before setting out: bridge works are scheduled through 13 November 2026, with a pedestrian detour, and other park-management notices may affect access.
