White Pillars occupies a restored historic house on Biloxi's Beach Boulevard. Chef Austin Sumrall and his wife Tresse run the restaurant, with local farms and Gulf seafood shaping a menu that changes with the season. Mississippi craftsmanship also appears in the serving dishes and handmade tables. The cooking combines Southern ingredients with wider influences. Dishes have included Gulf fish crudo with coconut and coriander broth, crab rangoon ravioli in turmeric pasta, and wood-grilled Gulf fish with squash curry, coconut rice and pecan dukkha. Chicken and sausage gumbo anchors the menu in the region. The WP Lounge serves cocktails and smaller dishes around a historic Biloxi bar.
