Winvian spreads across 113 acres in Connecticut's Litchfield Hills, with 18 individual cottages and a suite in the historic family house. Fifteen architects contributed to the accommodation, creating rooms with themes ranging from Treehouse and Helicopter to Library and Log Cabin. Each cottage has a fireplace and private outdoor space. The estate's dining draws on its gardens and seasonal ingredients, with the main restaurant complemented by Maggie's Tavern for lunch, drinks and snacks. A spa offers treatments and wellness sessions. Woods, lakes and the surrounding countryside give the property its setting, while the varied cottages make design a substantial part of a stay.
